Four days and three nights:
Thursday, September 14 through Sunday, September 17, 2023
Plan to fly into Asheville, NC Regional Airport, arriving before 1-2pm. We will pick you up or arrange transportation for the 20 minute drive to the cabins and for the return on Sunday morning.
All running days will include a guided warm up and an active stretching session post run. Exact itinerary subject to change.
After arrival, we will start with a shorter run. The distance is completely up to you since we will be running directly from the cabins, but most people choose 3-6 miles. Then enjoy a delicious plant-based dinner and socialize around the fire.
Explore the miles of trails of Bent Creek Experimental Forest. Choose from relatively flat gravel/paved lake loop or a more challenging single track route. Trail shoes are not necessary if you are running the lake loop, but are suggested for single track. After lunch, we'll have coaching/training sessions and plenty of down time to relax or explore.
Long run day along the French Broad River. Run as many miles as you wish along the newly completed greenway. Stop at the cabins whenever you like or grab a local beer at a riverside brewery. The afternoon will be reserved for strength, stretching, training, and relaxing. In the evening we will explore downtown Asheville!
Wake up for a riverside run or simply take your time savoring the last of the weekend. Transportation will be provided back to the Asheville Airport Sunday morning.
